The project seeks to find a form of communication between children and adults, peace and war, the past and the future.
It is also a pavilion about children.
They are innocent.
Babies cannot choose to be born in a country without war.
Children cannot defend themselves when violence approaches.
Teenagers cannot refuse to join the war if conscripted by the army.
And more than 120,000 child soldiers are currently fighting in Africa.
They claim that wars are for the future of our children. But without our children, it all means nothing.

If the war goes on, will we still see the twinkling stars?
We provide a sloped playground enclosed by a double shell—to shield children from violence, conscription, and the greed of the adult world. Adults’ activities are “restricted” to the space between the two walls—a semi-indoor permanent exhibition and a temporary exhibition on the ramp.
The circulation paths of adults and children “intersect” in section, but they are connected only through a 1.5-meter-high opening, which can only be entered by bending down.
Beneath the playground lies the meditation space. Skylights, the same size as a child’s footprint, are introduced. As children run above, these skylights are occasionally covered, twinkling like stars. The audience will feel the innocence and joy of children. This leads us to reflect: if the war continues, can we still see the twinkling stars?
