The design takes into account both environmental needs and diverse user needs. It is intended to discuss the potential relationship between an innovation campus and the city. Based on the site's specific conditions and the research on the development of innovation parks, this project proposes a design strategy of growing "symbiotically" with its surrounding neighborhood and the city.

This park serves not only innovative workers, benefits tourists, but also is open to all citizens of Nanjing. Furthermore, this aspiration of “coexisting” gives its name, the “SYN-PARK.”

Site
Strategy

Like traditional innovation parks, the “SYN-PARK” provides workers with complete supporting facilities, but unlike them, the space here also benefits the everyday life of the city. In order to realize this concept, the design opens all of the ground floor on the premise of retaining the original building structure.
